I was finally able to reserve a phone... through apple.com/store and I ended up with a grand total of $599.00. I received confirmation prior to ordering from AT&T that my line was eligible for an upgrade at the $199 price for the 16gb iPhone 4. (I still haven't received my email confirmation) I wonder if it really went through...

Ugghhhh now I will have to spend a bunch of time (hopefully not too long) on the line with apple support to fix this. Did anyone else experience this?

got the same exact info...cancelled it pronto

This has already been discussed. I believe that price is a result of them not actually contacting att to check your eligibility. You don't pay until your in store correct? that's when they'll check your upgrade and it will package out I believe.

I got over charged too!

It happened to me as well, BUT when I got the confirming e-mail, I cancelled the order. Then went back online to the Apple site and FINALLY got the correct order information through.
Probably could have cleared this up on the pick-up date, but frankly didn't want to get to the Apple Store at 7 am to be told, "Oh, well, you need to pay $699- that's what our system says."
I've been through too many of those 'our system isn't talking to their system' experiences in my life to want to deal with that again:rolleyes:

I don't want to cancel and loose my reservation. It took me over an hour to get it to process. I agree with the "our system" which is a statement that has become ever to common these days. We the customer are never right but our "system" is. I definitely want to get this cleared up and fixed before I pick up my phone. Please let me know if you've been able to get apple to correct this. I'm on the west coast I need some sleep :)

Hmm, I keep getting this...

Apple Store is down. Error processing payments. Overcharged customers. No white iPhone.
