Ok, crazy situation here. iPhone 6, 64gb, Space Gray
- Ordered via AT&T Friday early AM (mistakenly chose Next 18 when meant to do Next 12)
- Called AT&T at at 6:30pm to see if I could change that. Was advised it was best if they just cancel the order and I reorder.
- Rep did some magic clicks, asked me to refresh the AT&T upgrade page, and boom, it reset as eligible to upgrade.
- AT&T order page showed delivery was now 2 weeks out, while Apple site still showed delivery on 9/19 for my desired config.
- Ordered phone on Apple site at 7pm.
- Phone showed up on Apple support and UPS on 9/16 for delivery on 9/19 (from Apple)
- This morning, got a notificaiton from AT&T that they've shipped a phone via FedEx with tracking info.
So it looks like I'm getting 2 phones. I guess I'll need to return one. Still, it certainly seems like a system glitch that it would have let me order two phones via Next Upgrade for the same line. I'm interested to see what the bill looks like, although to return one within 14 days means I won't get to see a bill before I'd need to give it back.
I could probably sell it on the street for a premium and then pay it off in full and keep the profit. Not really my style though...
I had a similar issue with iPhone 5 pre-orders. When the deliver man arrives, simply refuse to accept the delivery from AT&T. There's no re-stocking fee, it simply cancels and refunds automatically.
