I need some opinions. I preordered a gold 6 64GB and received it, but have been tempted by the plus. I finally snatched one for full price from an Apple Store nearby. Let's just say it was a hefty price to pay as I used my upgrade for the 6. I'm kind of torn on what I should which includes the following ideas:

1. Return the 6 and let my upgrade eligibility return and then order a 6+ from Apple using my upgrade pricing and wait however long it takes to get a 6+ from Apple.

2. Keep the 6, as the return deadline is tomorrow, and sell it for around full retail price and counter the costs of the off contract 6+.

I also have my 5s to sell and I'm selling my iPad mini bc after using a 6+ I am okay with giving it up based on my usage habits. I would prefer to return both phones and order using my Verizon upgrade pricing, but it looks like if I order it from the Apple Store I will be waiting quite a long time.

Key point: I am on Verizon unlimited and if I upgrade and pick up in store I'll lose it. If I upgrade and have it shipped to me then I can just insert my current sim and not lose my unlimited plan. That is what is causing me to ask what you guys might do in this scenario. As always, thanks for the advice.

I've been trying to make a similar decision, with an off contract 6 that I have now, and an upgrade with contract 6+ that's coming in a day or three.

It comes down to either wanting a good one handed phone and so-so web browsing, or a better camera and full-size web page experience that is harder to use one handed or stuff in pockets.

I'm glad my phone made it out of SDF (Louisville) last night. There is a line of thunderstorms approaching SDF right now. That always makes things interesting for hub flight operations.

What do you mean by quoting my post and adding "A Team" to it?

Sorry if you were confused. You said,

So I was asking if your user name was on the 'A' Team list, which is a list of people with the same shipping times as the others on that list. So if something happens to the phone for one person on the list, then it might apply to the others as well.

I'm on the 'A' team list, so knowing if you were also would make your post more pertinent to me. You can search for 'A' team to find out more, but if you don't know what that means you likely aren't on it.

Is anyone in Northern Cal / Bay Area? I'm north of SF and am trying to figure out what UPS facilities my phone will hit after KY. Does anyone know? Thanks. Go :apple:A-Team!

I'm in SF as well, but don't have an answer for you. I requested for my phone to be held at the South SF customer center, but I'm not expecting for it to be there tomorrow morning.

No arrival scan yet for me, all the planes have landed.

Finally headed my way!!!

Phones on UPS1302 and should touchdown before 4am!!! That means I'll be getting my phones today!!!!!

:eek::):D

Doubt they will be there tomorrow morning. I just got my arrival scan in KY at 1:16 local time. They have yet to go through customs before departing KY. So you and I are probably looking at Monday...end of business tomorrow if we're lucky. :apple:

Not necessarily. There were a few people in the past few days who had their phones cleared by customs and received their import scans within an hour or 2. They also left KY that same night and received their phones the next day.

It's still possible you get yours on Friday...not likely but possible.

Yep I noticed that on HeadphoneAddict's post after I posted my note. Hope mine clears within an hour or so as well. I don't know how many times I've pushed refresh since I saw HeadphoneAddict's post. Patience is not one of my virtues. :p

Well, I am officially part of the waiting game for my 6 Plus. Hoping I don't have to wait an entire month...But I wouldn't be surprised.

I was in the same and picked up the plus. I will say now go for the plus, it's really worth!

Arrived in SDF at 1:12. No import scan.

Shipped on the 26th, love seeing peeps getting their phones before me when I ordered and shipped before them. Argh.

AT&T or T-Mobile?

AT&T.

I'm convinced Apple just booked the shipping with serial numbers for phones that hadn't even been manufactured yet.... So they essentially get UPS to take some of the blame for the delay.

Louisville, KY, United States 10/03/2014 2:47 A.M. Import Scan

Delivery date 10/3.

Looks like i'll be getting my phone today!

It's been a rough week lol, but the forum made it better! you guys are awesome!

Here's hoping!

AT&T.

I don't think so. I have seen a lot of delayed shipping from people who are with AT&T...and it sometimes happens when they order thru AT&T, cancel that order and re-order thru Apple...

My theory is it's an eligibility issue that's not being efficiently ironed out between AT&T's system and Apple's...basically, AT&T's allotment of phones is getting hammered by the restocking and re-allocation of phones that we ordered/canceled and the systems aren't updating eligibility quickly enough.

So if you want it expedited, maybe you should call up AT&T, tell them you're ordering thru Apple and have them clear you from their system. Also ask them to restore upgrade eligibility quicker so Apple has you cleared to go.

I seriously doubt Apple's shipping a phone for a discounted price if there is even a drop of doubt if that phone is eligible for the discount.

And even if you're buying at full price, AT&T has to authorize the contract and phone's SIM creation...

So I think you should talk to AT&T...make sure you are cleared in their system. That seems to be the biggest difference in the people who ordered later than you who received their phones before you.

And that's not just for you. It's a lot of people complaining about Apple when there are 2 other companies involved. It's more than likely things that Apple can't control holding up their order...I seriously doubt Apple has it in for you or anyone else here...

I got confirmation (for now). My phone will be delivered today. I expect it to land in Oakland, CA around 5:30 to 5:45 am pst. Then take a 1.5 to 2 hour ride north to Petaluma, the next hub. From there, hallelujah, praise the lord, my door step.

Thanks to all for being with me on this journey.
