Since updating my iPhone14 Pro to iOS 18, I am unable to use Apple Configurator app (v1.1) to manually enroll a computer to Apple Business Manager. I used to be able to do this fairly easily.

Now, I get past the first sign in screen, to the page that asks for my Phone Number and whether to verify with a text or phone call. After pressing Continue, the entire screen immediately turns fully black, with no buttons or UI anywhere. I see a notification balloon appear seconds later with my 6 digit code, however there is no way to input it and nothing to do except force quit the app and start over.

I have hard-rebooted the phone and also tried deleting and re-installing the Configurator app. No dice...

Just wanted to let you know you are not alone. I have the ios 18.1 beta and I have had the same issues with the same fixes attempted. Are you still experiencing the black screen? I get the black screen immediately after entering my username and password.

Correct, yes I am still experiencing the problem. I haven't even tried 18.1 beta yet but good to know ahead of time that it doesn't fix the issue. I guess we will just have to hope and pray that Apple fixes this. I filed a bugreport: FB15240290

Received this response from Apple:

"...there are changes in build iOS 18.1 Beta (22B5054e) that may have resolved this issue. Has this issue been resolved after installing iOS 18.1 Beta (22B5054e)?"

I haven't tested it because I don't want to update to iOS beta.

I'm having the same issue on iOS 18.0.1 with the exact same steps and issues. Couldn't find a fix so far.

Figured out a fix, but you're going to need a mac with iPhone mirroring installed and set up. Simply set up configurator using iPhone mirroring, you'll then be able to enter the code that gets sent

On my side, I had to have the company VPN turned on, on the iPhone. After that everything worked smoothly.
