Qualcomm recently announced tha they would reduce the royalty basis the cap to $400 from $500 per device. Nokia's 5G is now $3.50 per unit while Qualcomm's 5G license is likely to cost between 2.275% to 3.25%, or around $20 per top of the line device.

Let's wait and how this plays out. While I'm pretty sure that Qualcomm won't get fair trial in Apple's hometown, Qualcomm will get theirs elsewhere!

The US case is in San Diego which is Qualcomm’s hometown.

These are from the Palm operating system—which if you remember had a card system that looked and functioned nearly identically to the current iOS multi-tasking.

Qualcomm owns those Palm patents.

Apple could have bought the Palm patents if they had wanted. They really did copy the Palm interface (or independently came to a very similar conclusion).

Lol that’s funny that Palm Pre (that uses Palms defunct OS card system predates the iPhone SE or 7 so that would mean their Pantene debuted before Apple’s Jony Ive and team could come up with their way to close a touch screen only app.

Palms patents are pretty useless except in this case. The whole swipe to unlock took us back to a phone manufacturer that barely lasted 7yrs and less in production or shipments. Of the golden era of smartphones prior to iOS and Android.

The invokimg incantation seems to have failed. Lets hold hands and chant together until @AngerDanger blesses all with his jiffy gifs

Jifffffffffff =gif ;)

Apple designs UIs, so they're right to patent stuff that's part of the look and feel of their interface.

Qualcomm doesn't. But then again their modems are great and Intel's are complete, utter, disgraceful garbage
There is a LOT more to Qualcomm than you are aware of. What if they have an OS in development?
Somebody here has already made the point that they do in fact have an interest in that side of things.

Everybody and their grandma knows that Qualcomm is suing Apple to next Sunday to try to force them into paying $$$ for whatever modem issue there is. This has nothing to do with mysterious Qualcomm UX/UI innovation.
