I wonder if Apple Watch 6 and iOS 14 will also be delayed? AW6 they may have no choice to delay if the same production delays that have hit the iPhone have hit it. But I wonder if Apple will just take a few extra weeks to work on iOS 14 and the other software since they won't need it in September for the new iPhones like usual?

Lmao. There have been rumors about delays for a while now, and Qualcomm pretty much confirmed it yesterday. How are people seriously giving Prosser credit lmao. The dude is such a smug hack. Still waiting for him to acknowledge how wrong he was about WWDC and how he got trolled so hard with that fake AirPower he tried to watermark lmao

Holy cow! Jon Prosser was right!!! /s
Can someone write an article about "leakers" in 2020 that just make stuff up as they go already. Can't believe that Jon Prosser is still getting attention.

well, he did talk about WWDC going online a week before Apple announced it, he knew the exact week that the new iPads would launch before anyone else did, he knew the exact day of the new SE launch before anyone else confirmed it, he knew the exact hour that it would launch, he knew the day of the 13 inch MacBook Pro update, he was the first to say that there would be no hardware at WWDC, and the rest of his leaks we are still waiting on. His latest says that the new iMac will launch in August, so if it launches in August than he’s right. keep in mind that several other leakers said the new iMac would launch this week, and he was the only one to go against them. And here we are, it’s this week, and no new iMac. He says August, and I am intending to believe him.
He was also the first person to cast doubt on 120 Hz coming to the new iPhone, and as the days go by, it seems like that’s less and less likely, which just increases his track record.
I understand why a lot of people don’t like his arrogant format, and it can be annoying at times, but he’s actually delivering on the goods.
The only thing I still have doubts about is his Apple glass and air power leaks. But to be fair, there are probably conflicts with an apple about when these products will launch, how much they will cost and what functionality they will have. So conflicting reports from different people on those products is in evitable, at least until we have an actual timeline, or we get closer to announcement.
Also, on top of that, his pixel 4A leak from this past month seems to be very accurate. He’s been saying August 3, and now Google is teasing something for August 3.

I just want that 5.4” to have an OLED display. Please papa, please. Let us have OLED in the little one. I’ll wait a few weeks longer.

All that matters, is the iPhone launches in a timely fashion before the holiday season. That’s what finishes off strong for the 4th quarter. We saw the 2017 iPhone X launch in November, and that was sold out through the entire holiday season. Apple knows they don’t have anything to be concerned with a delayed launch, but at least it gives the consumer base to plan more around the holiday season for the next upgrade.

It's Macrumors job to find out when it will be released based on rumors, not Luca Maestri's job to tell the world in advance. Messes up the fun of the rumors mill

Apple should never acknowledge that a future product is even in development, let alone hint at when it will be released, and from a business point of view, this is bad. It basically confirms that a new iphone is coming (even though it was obvious in previous years without being confirmed) and tells customers to wait. Not good. They should keep pretending that the current iphones are already the best, and never give such hints.

Yeah this really isn’t a huge deal, but is a minor annoyance for the iPhone upgrade program. Paying an extra month or two isn’t a huge deal, but will definitely be more annoying next year when they go back to a September release and you’re a few months behind

I'd be OK with that given Apple's track record with initial iOS releases.

well, he did talk about WWDC going online a week before Apple announced it
Everyone knew it would be an online event.
he knew the exact week that the new iPads would launch before anyone else did
Uhm no

he knew the exact day of the new SE launch before anyone else confirmed it,
Cool

he knew the exact hour that it would launch,
1 hour before

he knew the day of the 13 inch MacBook Pro update,
Cool

he was the first to say that there would be no hardware at WWDC, and the rest of his leaks we are still waiting on.
He was also the first to say that Airtags, Airpods Studio, new IMac would launch at WWDC. He just corrected his own "leak" saying no hardware after it was clear everything he said so far was wrong.

His latest says that the new iMac will launch in August, so if it launches in August than he’s right. keep in mind that several other leakers said the new iMac would launch this week, and he was the only one to go against them. He said IMac was ready to ship in May. If it launches in August then he's not right.

He was also the first person to cast doubt on 120 Hz coming to the new iPhone, and as the days go by, it seems like that’s less and less likely, which just increases his track record.
He's literally the one that hyped up everyone about 120Hz displays. Nobody was saying 120 Hz displays would come until people started reporting on the rumours he created.
If you start a rumour about a product, people report on it, people start doubting it and then a few months later you're all like "oh it's cancelled", then you're not increasing your track record.

He's a meme, nothing more.

Exactly. He gets credibility by stating the most obvious ****. Leaked that WWDC would be online? Literally everyone knew that lol he got so much wrong about WWDC and the pixel ultra, and the Apple glass, and the iPhone se (saying it would have the XR setup) and he got trolled by an air power photo and tried to watermark and claim it was from a source. He’s a hack, he got maybe one or two things somewhat right.

I would like a date less than a month late so I don’t have to make an additional payment to iUP

I can't help but feel like my current iPhone is gonna be proper dead before then. Dangit.

Wish there was a iPhone rental service to tide me over.

Let’s see...
That was true
True
Three days later the new iPad Pro, MacBook Air and Mac Mini launched.
And now we know this to be true.
The MacBook Pro came out in May, and we know the air tags were scheduled to be released around this time, seeing as they literally leaked in an Apple support video. So this wasn’t entirely false, but plans did change.
Literally no one else was saying this. Everyone was saying April 5, because of some best buy phone case. But nope, he was the only one saying this date, and it turned out to be spot on.
Interesting right after he said this, Apple started moving personnel around in that department, and for the back to school program this year, they’re shipping AirPods, not beats.
Still waiting on this.
True
Again, the MacBook Pro launched in May, and the air tags were literally in an Apple support video, so we know these were at least planned for the event.
True
Your welcome

Not by any means that important an issue... but for those of us on the iPhone exchange program, we're eligible for a new phone every 12 months. If they delay this year's by a couple months, and they go back to a September release in 2021... Now we have to wait two months to get the new phone or else pay off the other two months to get the new phone.
Again, not a very important complaint given everything else in the world, but I wonder if Apple will go back to September releases after this year.

I'm not used to Apple itself saying something about a future release. It's always somebody else. It's so weird! Creeping me out, man....
