Was cruising MSNBC website and seen under their tech section.....

Apple confirms Verizon for iPhone, finally

Problem is, none of the links work...did you guys hear anything? They are claiming it was confirmed today via SJ.

In SW MN and wanting to get on the iphone bandwagon soon!

I'd imagine that to be the case.

CNN and a few other major media websites have accidentally published obituaries of major figures before they died. In the 24 hour news cycle and the fact that journalism is often tied with the dollar they have to be ready for this stuff. It's a reason the news media in the United States is nothing more than a major joke. Really, it's entertainment.

i agree

also: shouldn't it say "Apple confirms iPhone for Verizon"

I would not believe anything until you hear it come out of Steve's mouth. Until then it's just a rumor.

NO, Apple nor Stevie have confirmed anything...

Until then, stop making new useless uninformative unworthy unethical unrealistic threads.

Thanks!

why is the OP & thread unethical?

Here, let me enlighten you a bit.

unethical: not conforming to approved standards of social or professional behavior; "unethical business practices or unethical forum posting/starting practices"

MacRumors has certain standards one needs to conform to.

macrumors standards require you - should you repeatedly use a smiley more than 5 times - to then use it a minimum of 42 times, to make it really worthwhile :(

How is it unethical for the OP to post a link/mention that a "reliable" news service posted a broken link for something that, if true, would be a very hot topic here on MacRUMORS?

Especially as the business portion of that definition would not apply here.
