I'm honestly more excited for the OSX and iOS updates then hardware just because to me, iOS 6 sucked compared to 5. I hope the iOS 7 and all the hype pays off. Now I'm sure there's people happy with iOS 6, but personally since I'm not upgrading my products for a bit - iOS 7 better have cool features so I don't feel outdated. And I hope my iPad 2 can run it. I'm trying to squeeze one more year out of it before upgrading. It's been just over 2 years. C'mon iPad 2, one more year baby!

If they dropped iPad 2, they'd have to drop iPad mini, iPod touch 5G and iPhone 4s. (not to mention iPhone 4 and touch 4G) :D .
Highly unlikely :)

Based on the rising popularity of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the recent Consumer Report that ranked the S4 and the S3 ahead of the iPhone 5, apple better have a hardware refresh or the iPhone is doomed!

One site puts galaxy s3/4 higher and they're doomed lol.
What about Apple being ranked No.1 in J.D. Power and Associates mobile satisfaction studies for the ninth consecutive time?
:D

Given that Apple usually never comments on unannounced products, Tim's recent details about the Made in USA Mac at the Senate hearing was a big change. Even before that, he had mentioned that they were doing this, so I have to believe that we'll see more details on this product, especially if it is a new Mac Pro. Otherwise, he's being a real tease :)

They've been so quiet this year w/ new products etc. don't know what's going on w/ apple but alot of folks are jumping ship to Samsung. That's scary. Not sure why they're taking such a chill approach

It's a bandwagon being driven by Wall Street analysts who always "predict" out of their a** for short term gains. I'll never abandon Apple unless they give me a clear reason to.

so looking forward to all the disappointed people moaning about I wanted this and I wanted that..and its not happened..all the dummys that get spat out around these events

  • "Good Morning!"
  • "We are very excited!"
  • "This is a great time to be at Apple"
  • Updates about the business
  • iOS 7
  • iCloud Updates
  • iRadio
  • OS X 10.9
  • Haswell MacBooks
  • Mac Pro
  • Curtain

$ says you are probably correct.

Apple needs to hire the best salesman money can buy to present at these keynotes.

Apple shifted everything to fall, to maximize on holiday season, that's all

Yeah, doesn't have to be retina. As of right now, the entire iMac is thinner than the TB display alone.

I imagine they will update it with the Mac Pro since they are likely often purchased together.

That would suck for me as Apple just replaced my 2 24" LED LCD's as they were plagued with problems day 1 (LED LCD panels replaced 2-3 times, power supply, etc). I just got 2 27" LED Cinema Displays, my "current gen" (i.e. 2010) Mac Pro doesn't have Thunderbolt. I'm tempted in exchanging one for a Thunderbolt display in case the Mac Pro is indeed updated. I can daisy chain the mini-displayport model to it and get better features. Might be an issue if the form is modified, would make dual displays cumbersome.

Hope they don't disappoint.

As someone else has pointed out, that is relative to your expectations. Judging their responses, some here aren't expecting much of anything, so hopefully they'll be happy at the end of the day :)

I'll be there again this year :). I'm mostly excited for new stuff for developers in OS X and iOS. Some new hardware would be great too, even though I won't be able to afford it right away.

From an inside source. The title of the Speech to be given, "The Year of nothing but Mac Pro, 17 inch and larger laptops and the new OS - XI."

They will be releasing 27 different versions of the new Mac Pro, including one that may not run on iOS. I also look forward to the return of the 56 inch Macbook Pro, codenamed, Titanic.

It is confirmed, several of the new Mac Pro will have ports for connecting external mice and keyboards.

2 presentations to tell us how Apple is revolutionizing the operating systems by integrating more social networking.

In the early days, Apple products used to be for people who did real work for real money NOW they've turned their attention to teenagers and social networking - time to look elsewhere.

Apple is doing what they always have done. They're not releasing things just to release them. I admire Tim cook for not rushing things.

Exactly. Also, Apple doesn't chase after customers, especially with features & specs. Apple has carefully crafted their product mix, and if you like it, buy it. If not there's always an alternative, just not from Apple. As far as new features, if it's viable, Apple will add it. If not, well, you know what happens (see Blu-Ray, 3g/4g in laptops).

However, what they will do in certain markets (digital music players, tablets) is create a pricing structure that is tough to beat.

Perhaps your definition of "real work" is outdated. Plenty of professionals use current Apple products to produce "real work".

I used a 2012 MacBook Pro to model 6,000sf of office space, create photo-realistic renderings, create a video walkthrough and edit the video. Not only that, but I created a slideshow in Keynote that was then able to be passed on & viewed by the clients on their iPads. I get paid "real money" to do it.

Not to mention the hundreds of writers & artists that use the iPad for "real work", or the thousands of others whose "real jobs" it is to create apps for iPads & iPhones.

However, I'd also like to pose the following thought. At least some of the money earned from the "iToys" (as you might view them) goes towards R&D for your "real computers".

I put a wager on the logo telling us about a new iWatch with the square shape of the logo and that the watch will come in the colors of the logo.

Regarding the MMXIII, I think it just is 2013.
