Whatever screen tech Apple will come up with, I’m pretty sure it’ll be pretty epic. Can’t wait to buy an OLED iPad Pro.
Do remember that while the panel specification will be set by Apple, these panels will be manufactured by, and using the technology offered by, the likes of Samsung and LG. So Apple 'coming up with' will really mean 'deciding to use'.

When I saw the word "hybrid" alongside "display" and "iPad", I hoped that it might have been a Kindle-type reflective screen combined with an emissive one. Such that you really can use your iPad in full sun. Even if the reflective were just B&W.

I think the Pro models should be getting OLED. The 11" Pro might not be getting mini LED in between.
I disagree for the simple fact iPadOS is adding a “reference mode” on the 12.9” Pro presumably to match the MBP models which use miniLED. Adding an OLED panel would throw this pairing way off.

More importantly, I think Apple envisions the Pro models having longer screen on times or being used as a secondary display so an OLED model wouldn’t be the wisest choice.

Doesn’t seem like anyone brought this up but Samsung currently uses OLED tablet panels and I’ve heard nothing about these issues.

An OLED iPad is a dream come true, but I’ll believe it when I see it
Samsung has been making large OLED tablets for years, which are quite nice (the displays), so it would be more than plausible for Apple to finally follow suit.

Hybrid OLED? What in the marketing scam is that? They should skip oled and just wait for microLED. 2023 is when we should start seeing mass production
MicroLED is far from ready for mass production, and it is unclear if it ever will, in particular for use in mobile devices. I’m pretty sure we won’t see it this decade, barring some major technological breakthrough.

They are ready for mobile use, you will see one in galaxy phones next launch. The supply chain is being set in motion as we speak
