Did you read the article? The app must get permission to use your devices advertising ID. If it doesn’t get that permission then it is not given access to that ID. It’s not an honor system.
Does it affect the implementation of Ads in an app?
If it does, to what extent? Will this prevent the Ads from displaying?
I have implemente UnityAds in one of my apps, and with all this privacy concerns, I wouldn't want my app to be label "invasive".
This is why I'm asking.

Yeah, but what if all the other big tech CEOs call each other up and decide to not follow the rules? Is Apple willing to bomb all major social media apps off their platform in one fell swoop? Seems like that wouldn't do well for business, no matter how much I dislike social media and think that it's destroying modern society. People are addicted to this crap.

Papers please.. That's what this will all come to over time. China already does it. You can say out loud Uber and they will come.. The driver already knows what you look like due to facial tracking.

What kind of company would read and accept the terms of having their app on the store only to completely violate them?

Also, where has Fortnite gone?

I read the article. There are other methods of tracking than the device ID or advertising ID.

Facebook and Epic: “Think of the small businesses”. Gotcha, so “think of the small businesses“ is the new “think of the children” (ie a rhetorical trick used to conveniently divert attention from the questionable activities of large multinational tech companies).

The "privacy" card is the strongest card in Apple's hands simply because all other tech companies make money off the data and Apple is the only one that makes money off services+hardware = they don't need the data. This is checkmate.

This is starting to influence many other companies and people are starting to get aware and we slowly see new startups that actually sell the service for money instead of selling you:-
