Really hope they come out with a 40mm version. I’ve been wanting theirs since I got the original Apple Watch. It always bothered me that they only have them for the larger watches. I’ve gotten a couple of 3rd party ones from amazon, but they never lasted past 6 months or so.

I actually think these look nice and really like the blue one with the green edge accent. It’s slightly sporty without being blatantly so, which matches my many of my typical clothing options.

I like my current leather loop these looks like they have pills in them. Wonder if the leather is any different.

If Steve Jobs were alive, they'd never ... oh wait that doesn't work here.
Shouldn’t work anywhere it’s a silly thing to mention. It’s like people think Steve Jobs was god and made every correct decision. He also said big phones won’t work.

I love Apple. I do. I love their commitment to green technology and to being one of the most environmental conscious companies in the World. That’s why it really bothers me that they continue to make leather products. Besides Being unethical, the wholesale slaughter of animals in factory farming is one of the most harmful things to the environment. I really wish Apple would lead the way and promote non leather alternatives for their cases and watchbands. Tesla uses a synthetic environmentally friendly leather alternative in their high end electric vehicles. It would seem that Apple could do the same with their high end products.

Their bands are ridiculously over priced. A have a perfectly good steel band at about 1/10 the cost of the Apple band. Apple Bands should only be only twice the cost not 10 times the cost.
The Apple steel band is very expensive but the most comfortable I've ever worn and the butterfly mechanism design is perfection. Nothing digging in your wrist as it's the same profile as the links. I've also had very little stretching in the 3.5 years of wearing.

Guess we're paying for the designing and tooling for such a strap.

I used to collect watches and straps but since buying my Series 0 with steel strap I've never bought or worn another watch. That said, if I could get actually get my hands on a brand new Rolex submariner no date at RRP I'd chuck my money at the dealer!

This new leather strap looks unappealing to me, and as mentioned already i'd question how secure just using magnets for fastening would be for everyday life.
