Apple Courting Publishers by Comparing News Service to Apple Music, but Most Say Logic is Flawed

Newsstand. The Daily. Things have not worked out for Apple in this field before. The News app at least seems to have some moderate success.

It’s hard to see who this service will appeal to. There’s so much free, professional-quality news out there.

Is there really though? “Quality” is subjective I suppose, though it shouldn’t be. Is Twitter or Facebook quality? Most people get their news on these services now. I consider them cesspools of miss information. A well curated source of news across the spectrum of views would be welcomed by me. Of course, to be a good service, it would have to be a broad spectrum of news and not just a narrow band of options.
