Ok so its next week Wednesday almost and Jobs hasnt told us anything about how to get our credit for being early adopters, or maybe i just havent...anyone hear anything?

Patience, grasshopper...the week isn't up yet. I'm sure they're still ironing out the details and will make the announcement soon. :)

OH MY GOD! Jobs figured out how to make a grasshopper type! But seriously, patience...besides, Leopard doesn't come out till next month :D

NICE!!!!

Yes patience. I am the most unpatient person in the world, but I have patience in this situation (namley because what I am using the credit for isn't out yet:D)

I am eagerly awaiting this credit as well. I was planning on buying my new iMac last week, but decided to hold off once I heard about the credit. It can't come soon enough... :)

Probably trying to coordinate with AMEX and AT&T to see who got what at this point.

Even if its a list of email addresses to try and weed out the double dippers.

I bough my phone in early august. I recently sent it in for repairs and the phone was replaced with a diff one. Now the purchase date has been reset to 9/10 . The phone was originally a gift so I don't have a receipt. I think I'm screwed out of the 100credit.....

If it was a gift, you didn't pay for it, so how is that a "screwing"

we actually have to produce the originally receipt to get our $100 credit? they cant just run the serial number or just show them the phone? hell i have no idea where that piece of paper is from late june. surely it'll have something to do with our serial numbers.

I hope you don't have to show a receipt. My receipt got lost moving and the ATT store said they can't print me out another one. I do have a bank statement showing the transaction so maybe that will work.

Take a cue from the selfish pigs this issue has brought out. Go for your $100 credit and bitch to whomever gave you the gift that now that it's worth less, they should buy you a new nano to make up the price difference. 8GB of course. :p

If Apple is going to require some form of proof of purchase AKA a receipt, they are not going to hand out credits on a whim. Unless your bank statement actually has the purchase itemized, that is not going to fly.

And showing up with an iPhone in hand won't fly either.

I would think that the activation/authorization process you initially go through might be the qualifier for the Apple Credit since Jobs said that they would be handling the purchases made from Apple and AT&T.

Now that I think about it, maybe that is why the original restrictions on where the iPhone could be purchased because they knew that they were going to drop the price and would need to appease the earlier adopters by offering a credit and they had to be able to track all sales.

The person who bought it for you is screwed out of the $100 credit. S/he should collect that $100 and buy themselves a cable of some sort to beat your spoiled a$$ with.

Since its all just apple credit, unless theres really only one thing that you want, theres no way that you wont be spending the same amount of money anyway. Right?
