I'm not disagreeing. But buying Sun's server business would have brought a lot of experience in the thin server market, and also in the 4/5U arena too. They wouldn't have had to incorporate Sun's products into their server lineup, but they could have incorporated their knowledge and experience in the engineering to extend the Apple Server Line into more business capable and muscular servers. It could have been a contender!
At a minimum I was wondering why there is no hash value to confirm the firmware updates. Super micro used to be great, but I guess cost cutting affects everybody these days.
Cost cutting "affects" companies that cut development costs to make their products deliver more profit and less value to the buyers...
