It's always been under 100 MB (at least partially to keep it under the 100 MB download limit on cellular). Perhaps the total app size when you ran the app already and some thing got cached got to 198 MB (and can certainly get much larger), but that's not the size of the app itself or the installation that you get from the app store (which is compressed also).I had Facebook downloaded usually it's 198 MB but when I downloaded it last week it was 80
Yea after it was installed its was a high amount. Right after updating to iOS 9 I checked after updating Facebook and the app size decreasedIt's always been under 100 MB (at least partially to keep it under the 100 MB download limit on cellular). Apple resolves AppThining issues:

Developers need to enable it by tagging assets in their apps. A task which will take time. As they release app store updates you will see them thin. It was only enabled yesterday so expect it to be months before you see any changes. My apps don't seem to be getting any thinner. Is anyone seeing reduced sizes yet when they get updates?
Apple has given developers the ability to support app thinning. Developers will have to release an update to their apps supporting it. You'll download that as a regular update. Will it take an app update to reduce app size or do you have to reinstall them?
Yes bug is interchanged with poor planning, user error, new feature, bad requirements, user training, etcI'm going to start using the word "bug" at work now. You see I didn't realize it could be used interchangeably with "piss poor planning".
