iPad Apple desperately needs to offer an API for the stylus.

The state of 3rd party Bluetooth stylus is insane, it is all over the place and I have heard numerous people complain about buying a $200 bluetooth stylus and it only working on 3 apps on their iPad.

If Apple is not going to make a stylus, they should open a universal API for apps to support all styluses that play nice with it. So pressure sensitivity, eraser are not just app specific.

And yes, I am one of those people who loves their stylus ;)

    They probably will.

It's important to research what you're buying into. Developers don't need to include support for so and so's pen if they don't want to or it doesn't fit with their product.
