If you Family Share with kids and they lose their card, can Apple cancel ONLY THAT CARD from the Family Share account or do ALL CARDS need to be replaced?

So I have 14.6 installed now but I can’t share with my wife until she gets 14.6 and her phone is currently reporting 1 hour to download. The servers must be getting slammed.
Move her phone closer to your router. You’ll be surprised how much that can help.

As I wrote above, we're not interested in separate Apple IDs, because we'd lose some sharing we consider important but which Family Sharing doesn't allow. For instance, we can't share contacts. We can't share the music library we've accumulated over 30 years (no iTunes match either). I think (but am not sure) she would also not be able to operate our HomeKit enabled devices since those are tied to one Apple ID. If I take a picture on my iPhone, it would not automatically show up in her Photo app either, afaik. All these things we've been able to do for almost a decade. We don't want to give that up just to get a second physical card.

agree lack of contact sharing is a pain and a hole in iCloud.

Ok, this was the feature I was waiting for. I’ve got a credit freeze on all three agencies, and curious which one I need to unfreeze to apply?

Adding a coowner incurs a hard pull. We did not see this mentioned anywhere and is pretty damn ridiculous. Never would have moved forward with adding spouse if we knew this.

My wife and I have separate Apple ID, and the photos issue is a huge annoyance for us. Contacts isn’t that big of deal, but apples photo sharing for a family just isn’t that great. For us, the family shared photo album just doesn’t cut it As it’s missing the magic of just being there.

Are you doing this as a participant or a co-owner? I was told the participant did not get a credit pull.

I tried adding my wife last night. it would get to the point where it was adding her card and would fail that Apple Pay wasn‘t available. My wallet showed it added. Called Sachs and they couldnt figure it out. We did this a couple times with same results, then they told me to remove my card from the wallet and add it back. Still didn’t work but after this my card was closed. Have spent too much time talking with them already. They say it can take up to 10 days for this case to be reviewed, even though they know it was in error. Not sure what this does to my installment plan.

Apparently I am not the only one in the position… after talking to a supervisor this appears to be an issue with their roll out. I’m told my case can take up to 10 days to get reviewed due to their issue. Terrible experience.

It says in the apple support page fine print: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT212020

Apple Card is issued by Goldman Sachs Bank USA, Salt Lake City Branch. Each co-owner is individually liable for all balances on the co-owned Apple Card including amounts due on the existing co-owner’s account before the accounts are merged. Each co-owner will be reported to credit bureaus as an owner on the account. In addition, co-owners will have full visibility into all account activity and each co-owner is responsible for the other co-owner’s instructions or requests. Co-ownership involves risk, including payment history and other information about your Apple Card, including negative items like missed payments. Addition of a new co-owner is subject to credit approval and general eligibility requirements. Learn more about Apple Card eligibility requirements. Either co-owner can close the account at any time which may negatively impact your credit and you will still be responsible for paying all balances on the account.

My fiancé and I both 14.6 and whenever I go to add her to my Apple Card, it grays out her and the rest of my Family and says, “Unavailable For Sharing.“

Anyone else have this issue? The runaround between the bank and Apple support is getting me nowhere.

Yes, happening here. Wife and I are both on 14.6 and i am not able to share my card with her. I haven’t had a chance to update our watches to 7.5 yet, so maybe that has something to do with it.

When adding a co-owner (who is an adult child but not still in school), in the application process it asks for “total income.” Are they asking for (a) the total income of me (the primary card holder) + the co-owner or (b) the income of just the person I’m adding?

The “total” word is throwing me off.

So I just noticed that my wife is not getting her daily cash back as a co-owner on my Apple Card. Our monthly statement shows that she earned cash back but it is not appearing on her Apple Cash card. Has anyone else noticed this? There seems to be a few people on Reddit with this issue as well.

Edit: So my wife just needed to verify her identity on the Apple Cash card and then her pending daily cash came through.

So does adding a co-owner who currently doesn’t have an Apple Card not increase your credit limit? I thought you were supposed to get a combined credit limit and the lower of the 2 APRs.

Edit: So I finally got my wife's phone to update. I shared my card with her as a co-owner and she was accepted immediately. Our APR stayed the same but our credit limit did increase.
Question for you… Is there a hard credit check when adding as a Co-Owner? If so, whose credit gets dinged?

I’m guessing there’s no hard check for adding a Participant who turns on credit reporting, right?
