I have an Early 2013 MacBook Pro Retina, 15", with the following specs:
2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB
750GB SSD
El Capitan, V-10.11.1

I ran the Hardware Test, and it failed as follows:
Apple Diagnostics:
Last Run: 10/28/15, 9:52 AM
Version: 3A244
Test Suite: Extended Test
Result: Failed
Failure Code: 4HDD/11/40000000: SATA(0,0)

EDIT: As far as I can tell, she's running fine, and I haven't run into any problems

Can any of you guys tell me what the Failure Code means?

Thank you
m

I suspect the SSD is corrupted or the SATA cable isn't working correctly. More than likely the SSD.

If it boots into the OS, download and run SMART Utility. Anything other than 'Passed' means it's definitely the SSD that's corrupted.

Go into disk utility and run a disk repair then try again.

My main question though is why you would run a hardware diagnostic if there is nothing wrong with your computer???

I ran the disk repair before I ran the test, and I ran the test just to see what it actually was.
