There are the exact same chargers for $30 on Amazon that fold up and charge and everything. Some even charge 3 devices at once. And they include the charging cord and block! Crazy stuff

I really hope you’re right! The stackable battery idea that was rumored this week sounds very interesting. I love my MagSafe battery, I really really hope it makes a comeback.
You say this like it’s a surprise? The same can be found with practically every Apple accessory and then some.
But, my experience with a lot (not all!) of the budget accessories on Amazon is they don’t last, and the age old saying of buy cheap, buy twice often rings true.
All of the ones I've noticed have not officially been MagSafe (so they don't charge phone at 15w), and they're from little companies I've never heard of, probably in China. I don't trust them with charging, as bad charging can lead to unexpected fires.
I have the Duo here, love the slim portable charger for travel (watch and phone). Sucks now we have to look for alternative.
Buy an anker MagSafe compatible battery pack, more capacity and cheaper.
Yes, hopefully they do release an updated USB-C version that actually fits the newer phones properlyI love my MagSafe duo, but I don’t love this.

Discontinuing these and the iPhone mini makes this the worst iPhone keynote.
If they were just discontinuing them so they can release USB-C versions at some point, why not just keep them on sale until it happens? And why wouldn’t they discontinue other lightning accessories and products like the trackpad or AirPods Max?

Rip Duo, I love this thing. It just magnetic attach to my metal shelf.
They probably don't profit from them/sell them as much as with AirPods Max and are not a necessity like the trackpad. They can clear the physical stock more easily by discontinuing it sooner.

Extremely lame. I really liked the battery pack, I literally use it everyday. I don’t want to buy a power bank and deal with a cable. Hopefully they bring it back. Honestly though if a store drops the price I’d pick another one up. Have all these lightning cables for now anyways.

I got a Belkin charger at the Apple Store this weekend that fast charges my ultra. It’s pricey but I love it
Should’ve had a USB-C version of this ready to go at iPhone 15 launch.
