My early 2011 15" MBP died on Monday. It was already slow but I was really hoping to nurse it along until the skylake models came out. No dice, the machine is colder than Jimmy Hoffa. Now here's the question...

I already get a discount through an employee purchase program but does anyone know whether Apple's Black Friday deals can be stacked on top of that?

If yes, I'll limp along for two weeks and order then. If not, I'll just pull the trigger in the next day or two.

No I don't think apple allow any stacking.

More importantly apple have a free fix for that model of MBP if it's a graphics related death so it's worth taking to apple to be checked.

Thanks! Turns out my early 2011 MBP is one of those effected. Even though the machine itself is long since out of warranty, Apple is repairing it free of charge. All I need is for my MBP to last me through the winter until spring or early summer when the skylake-based machines come out. Woohoo!

I wish they did, but as noted. Apple like most of the other retailers/vendors does not allow you to stack up coupons or discounts :)

It should but if it doesn't, just keep using that repair program until you no longer can.
