Apple dock or nah?

I can't really see myself using the dock more than the charging cable. What do you guys think?

I like the dock, I haven't used one since the iPhone 2G but I can see it coming in handy on my nightstand. I may pick one up!

I also like the dock. I loved it with my earlier iPhones and iPads. I'll order a SG to match my SG iPhone 6s Plus 128GB.

I was looking to get the rose gold stand to match my rose gold iPhone when I get it however I am wondering can it be used with a case on the iPhone? I use a clear case that covers the bottom. don't really want to spend that much money if it can't

If it covers the bottom, then no unless it's a ridiculously thin case. It works with all Apple cases as the bottom is left open.

Not fond of this device. I think it could put stress on the charging port. My phone sits on the other side of the room and it does fine laying flat on my dresser, fearing that one of my cats will notice it. Having it stand up in this cradle is asking for it around my house.
