I think it was pretty obvious in context that I was referring to partisan politics, not politics in the broadest sense of the word. As for the rest of what you said, we'll just have to agree to disagree on all points. It's really not that big of a deal (especially since it's not using taxpayer money), and I bet most of the people having a cow about this didn't give the East Wing a single thought for most of their lives until now 😂
I'm white and I've never once felt hatred coming from Democrats. Recognizing systemic racism doesn't mean you hate white people. Unless you're so used to privilege that equality feels like oppression, that is.

I’ll just put this here. Just a small sample. Some real Romper Room/Sesame Street/Mr. Roger’s moments. She’s just not a serious person. For the record, I lived in CA when she was in office. She was a joke. People like her only succeed in the bubble.

I’m registered as independent and I voted for Harris. I still think she was unelectable by the majority of independents and swing voters, and her campaign was weak. Go read Nate Silver’s post-mortem series on it. I won’t plagiarize his work, but the short version is she had no campaign of her own for inheriting Biden’s campaign en stasis. I don’t like Trump, but he had a campaign and clear messaging (be it right or wrong, it was clear and spoke to the target audience). She didn’t.

So what is stopping Apple and these other companies from giving money to help these other people you mention? Just because the want their name on a plaque at the new Ball Room, doesn't mean they can't do something else with the other billions of dollars they have.
