Good find, sounds like a reasonable explanation.
Sure, they can't comment on every bug found but this one was quite bad so it would have been nice if they sent out this info earlier to stop all the rants.

MR should have ran an article retracting the story on people's photos showing up on sold iPhones. It was clearly made up by the person claiming it happened to them on Reddit.

Yeah. I know folks in the initial thread were clamoring for a real reason, which I agree, and this by far a better response and should have been added to the site.
