If Apple are so bothered about getting us to move, why do they make things like remote light switches, garage doors that open themselves and products that let you see who is at the front door without getting up? It really is the strangest of ironies. Just occasionally I get this weird feeling that they might try to sell us things under literally any pretence.
Correct me if I'm mistaken but I don't think they make any of those things. They did develop HomeKit, which is a communications framework that can be adopted by those who do.

I also see nothing inconsistent about Apple saying "use Apple stuff to enjoy music, TV, movies, and control of your home. But don't forget to get off your butt and exercise, and also use Apple stuff when you do."

Apple Health App.... The new replacement for the stocks app... stuff that you want to delete but can't.

I found it quite humorous that my Apple Watch congratulated me on reaching my goal when I bent to down and took something out the oven. It was cake :-(

Yeah, I’ve noticed that. Another one is that they used to go on about making environmentally-friendly products, and yet all of their MacBooks, MacBook Pros, Mac Mini’s and 21.5” iMacs are non-upgradeable and non-repairable, making them disposable. And then there’s the Mac Pro which can’t take a new GPU. I’m surprised the Vice President of environmental & social issues (Lisa Jackson) didn’t say anything about this to Tim Cook. What’s the point of having a vice president of environmental issues if she doesn’t make sure the products are as environmentally-friendly as possible?

I think that's the point Abaz, slow down that hectic pace a few times a day and be more mindful. You'll be surprised how many benefits you'll get from breathing exercises.

@Abazigal wasnt questioning the benefits or being mindful, he was indicating the inconvenience when the reminder surfaces when we can't always stop what we are doing to participate in the breathe application. I can attest to this and I do use the breathe technique.

If anything, if you cannot Participate at the time of the reminder, it at least serves as reminder to attempt to use it at some point in your day.

Apple doesn't care (because they've become scumbags) and I wouldn't be surprised if Lisa Jackson was bought off by Apple.

Apple's current state is pretty disgusting.... too bad nobody else cares either.

Hey, welcome back Mac. We haven't heard from you for awhile. How did that problem back in Philly go? Did you just get out?

because iam so bloody knackered running about filling in them rings i need all the help i can get to open the garage door and get the car out lol

Closing rings? Been doing it for 500 days now. Currently at 132 days streak!

I have only been using it for the past few months but at one point I noticed a notification come up that I was on a 9 day streak. Since that day I have managed to complete the rings each day and wondered how long I would manage to keep it up. Xmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years day were particularly challenging as I did not really feel like an hour plus walk to finish them off, but I did it on all three days. The various notifications and achievements do personally motivate me. Had a Perfect month for December 2016 and again in January 2017. I now find that I actually look forward to an hour or so walk everyday and enjoy the time in the fresh air, listening to podcasts, music or just thinking about life. Folk can poke fun at this but I certainly feel I have been drawn in and am certainly reaping the benefits. I have been an Apple fan for the last 25 years and often said they bring out hardware and software you don't even realise you want, but then can't do without. Currently only 13 days away from a 100 day streak, I think I will make that :)
