I wonder who made those Apple T-Shirts, because they are very high quality compared to many others.

Carefully analyzing it 🧐🔎.

I wonder if it's better quality than Apple's own $19 polishing cloth?

Don't joke. I was picking up new glasses, and the 'dispenser' told me that the best thing to use for cleaning glasses is 'an old pair of clean underwear' with a rather deep blush. I use cotton t-shirts and even 'tech' t-shirts, and they work amazingly well. Some of the microfiber things don't seem to work quite as well. Weird, but...

Apple: *makes billions in revenue from M1 computers*

Apple: thanks for all your hard work, here's a t-shirt!

But as an $AAPL shareholder, I'm not complaining

Recognition. I got a coffee mug for slaving on a programming project for over a year. It was a 'team' of some 35 people, but at least we were recognized for the effort. It felt good, and the next day it all continued as before. *shrug* It's good to be acknowledged for contributing, but in the end, it's the whole team working towards the betterment of the company whole. I could have lived without the mug, and expensive catered dinner, but it was nice to be patted on the head once in a while... All those nights and weekends... (I still have the mug too actually)

This thread really shows what Macrumors is about, no matter what Apple does, this is the response it always gets :)

Waiting for Greenpeece to complain how much environmental impact this shirt has.

Apple is gifting engineers and staffers who worked on the M1 chip a unique t-shirt to commemorate the end of the first year of the Mac's transition to Apple Silicon, according to an image shared on Twitter by an Apple engineer.

Andy Boretto, who works at Apple as a senior software engineer, tweeted an image of a special t-shirt with the M1 chip and its accompanying glow, alongside a card from Apple that reads, "Every so often, something comes along that changes everything. Congratulations and thank you for helping make Apple M1 possible!"

Boretto noted that December 31, 2021, was the "last day of the year special delivery" and that he is proud to have worked on Apple's transition to Intel and now Apple silicon.

Apple announced its transition to Apple silicon in June 2020 and released M1, the first Apple silicon chip, in November of that year. Apple has said the transition will take a total of two years to complete. This past October, the company added progress to its transition by introducing the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, the first high-end chips designed for the Mac.

In 2022, Apple is expected to release a redesigned MacBook Air with M2, a larger Apple silicon iMac, a high-end Mac mini, and a new Mac Pro.

Apple needs to give these engineers free Apple Silicon computers. Go the extra mile, give these geniuses what they deserve, don’t be cheap! There, I said it first…

Why not be proud of it and say it publicly?
Do you publicly proclaim what you got for a bonus every year? Do most companies regularly announce every gift/bonus they give to their employees?

The real point being, you have one data point. Don’t assume just because you have one data point, that it is the only data point that exists. Unless you’re omniscient.

I am saying that Apple has historically not been very generous with compensating the people who have kept it going. Aside from giving their CEO stock options. They need to generously thank their engineers and employees, including the Apple Store employees. And the contract workers at Foxconn and others suppliers.
