I knew it. The era of the "Stevenote" is over.

I called it in July 2020:

“From Apple Park”. Just as I thought, it didnt make much sense to have it at Steve Jobs theater given that there’s no audience. I expect that it’ll be a lot like Craig Federighi‘s iPad Pro demo. We’ll probably see some outdoor segments, Apple Park cafeteria and maybe in the Steve Jobs Theatre lobby. There’ll probably be ad format videos in betweeen segments.

I’d even argue that this might mark the end of the Stevenote era. Apple Park is such a beautiful campus. Showing it off during their presentations is probably better than watching people on a stage. Sure, there’ll be press events where Apple can interact with the world’s media face to face and they can try the new products in person, but these events may never again look like the keynote that Steve Jobs popularized.
