Way cheaper and easier for them to just record a video and drop it online at 10am. Also lets them do fancy VFX, effects, make last minute edits/corrections, and have full control so nobody slips up or has a gaffe or makes it awkward, which always happened when they had guest devs from other companies demo apps and games.

Shame that. I used to love the live events on stage.

I've bought two pairs, the first just stopped working about 7 months ago and were out of apple care. The second I have on now and I keep AC+ on them monthly.

I was prepared to sell my second set of APM for an upgraded gen 2. Hard to justify that for a usb-c port!

Same. I bought a brand new set of APMs earlier this year, took out AppleCare+. I use a $5 adapter to plug my USB-C cable into them. Only way I was going to sell and upgrade was if we got some major new features.
