Wow, M1 in the Air. iPadOS has to step it up if this level of hardware is going to proliferate the lineup.

Or perhaps I’m focused on the wrong things when it comes to this initiative to make the iPad a laptop replacement. Maybe the laptop replacements they’re going after are those that use laptops for just browsing, email, light gaming, and social media on a screen larger than their phone. Probably a bigger user base than I, or this forum, gives credence to since our laptop use cases go beyond this limited set of functions.

And the M1 allows the Air to demolish the competition in performance, at a fraction of the heat and completely silent.
