You've assumed a lot. Most of it's wrong. Hardly any of it is sourced. Beyond the fact that Apple acquired Primesense, and early Primesense tech was used in the original Kinect... yeah, nothing else you've assumed is correct. Cursory internet info would tell you that.
how do you know it’s wrong? do you have any sources that proves it’s wrong? oh are you just assuming that Apple really didn’t engineer much of the iPhone X’s Face ID?

hypocrisy is strong with this one.

You do realize you are the one who made claims right? See, the way this works is: 1. Someone makes a claim. You 2. Someone else says the claim isn't true. Me 3. The onus is on the claimant to prove what they say is true. You

So I'm not assuming anything regarding Apple. I am saying you assumed a lot. You did. I am saying you provided no facts to back your assertions. You can't. I am also saying that me trying to prove things that you made up? Yeah... dat be yo job.:)

This doesn't really make sense. Looks like you didn't finish your thought there (look at the last part of that). Try again.

So I'm not assuming anything regarding Apple.

You made the assumption that what I said is mostly wrong. Here's your EXACT quote: "Most of it's wrong." That's an assumption, not a fact.

If I said "Steve Jobs helped design the trash can Mac Pro" and then you said that I'm "wrong", do you have proof that Steve Jobs didn't have a hand in the design of that Mac Pro? No. But by saying that, you just assumed that Steve Jobs didn't help design the trash can Mac Pro. What you should have said is "You have no proof of that Steve Jobs helped designed the trash can Mac Pro" and that's all. That would have been fine with me.

I am saying you provided no facts to back your assertions.

Saying "you provided no facts to back your assertions" and saying that what I said is "mostly wrong" are two different things. One is a "fact" and the other is an assumption.

So yes, you did make an assumption, something that you're attacking me with. That's called being a hypocrite.

Get it? Good.

Feels like you have an ego problem so I'm not going to read your reply.

shrinking an xbox kinect into a portable device for the face id feature ain't easy.
Primesense did not make the Kinect. Their tech contributed to it. Also you have no idea whether or not a smaller module was hard to create or didn't already exist. The Primesense tech used in the Kinect could have just as easily been sized according to design specs for the Kinect. I mean, since we're just gonna speculate.

it's not like primasense already made the mobile module and then Apple purchased it -> slapped it on the iPhone without any additional engineering.
Based on what? You have no proof that they didn't have smaller modules when they were acquired. Of course additional engineering was required to integrate the tech, but you have nothing to base the size assertion on, literally nothing.

incorrect they bought primasense (the people that made kinect) and engineered the mobile version of it. one that doesn't take up too much space or power.
Again, you're making claims with no proof. What's your source for that claim?

they didn't source the module because it didn't exist.
Source?
kinect was this giant device that sit in front of your TV.
This is true. Kinect was a giant device that sat in front of the TV. There's no correlation between the size of the Kinect and the smaller size of the Face ID module.
Apple invented the mobile version after they bought primasense. so no they didn't "source" it.
Source?

You don't have to reply. There's nothing really to say without sources.
