Shouldn't be too difficult. In tons of TV ads, films, shows the computers are all Macs. To the point where I've seen Apple products with Apple branding removed, yet still clearly an iMac/MacBook/iPad, etc.

Buzz marketing?

How about just come out with some new and innovative products....that will create all the buzz you need. Apple seems to be fading. Product innovation is tapering and they're concentrating more on marketing to sell more products rather than just let the products sell themselves.

The Buzz Team does a much better (and by that I mean classier) job than the competition.

For instance, Microsoft's effort putting Windows logos on the back of laptops is quite pitiful.

I know, right! I saw that in Horrible Bosses and couldn't believe it.

If this was Samsung, it would be considered a sign of desperation around here.

You see Apple products in TV shows and movies a lot but I've noticed recently Samsung and Microsoft are getting more prevalent. There have been some blatantly heavy handed placements for the Microsoft surface in some shows like "Arrow" that made me roll my eyes.

Yes I've been seeing alot more Nokia and Samsung phones on shows than ever before. Parks and Recreation for one. Hopefully it doesn't start happening on Game Of Thrones ;)

I've always wondered why I see so many shoes with Apple devices where the logo is covered up. Anyone know why this is?
Because those shows don't have actual cash advertising agreements. And they chose to have Apple products, anyway. They aren't all Apple, though. If you look close you can see other brands occasionally, and the same thing applies if logos are covered up.

Yes, filling a vacancy in a 20 year old team proves that Apple is dead.

The foolishness I find at MacRumors is truly inspiring. That's what keeps me coming here.

I Can't remember the last time I've seen a movie that didn't an apple product
So you haven't been to the movies or you were drunk and can't remember. That says nothing about Apple whatsoever.

Heck most Samsung phones look like "I"devices anyway. Even your example could be a Samsung to the uninformed eye. Would that money be better spent Getting Your Product Out! I been waiting for months of the new IPAD. I am still hoping/waiting for an updated MBP 17inch. (I know not gonna happen)

Really? You've been waiting since the last iPad came out for the next one? It's only been a few months, why not just buy one? And the 17 inch MBP isn't coming back.

Uh, that stuff doesn't "just happens", it's all product placement/stealth advertising.. Apple pays for that, too.

My logic agree with what you're saying, and I also thought that too.
But sometimes Apple represent "Cool" or sophisticated and hip so the character in a movie or tv would use them, I don't know.. but that's kind of my thinking.

Jimmy fallon use lots of apple product in his show, I don't think apple paid for that, he's an Apple fan I think.

I always appreciated that Apple didn't pay for product placement... maybe it's just me though. But they always got placement cause their products were the sexiest on the market. I think it's a sign of competitors catching up on design and apple getting to big to be a nimble and innovative as they used to be, if they are now having to PAY for product placement. Hell, even disney shows have a "pear" phone and "pear" tablet which is an obvious shout out to Apple

He may very well be, but I can assure you he doesn't pay for what wears and uses when on TV; celebrities and hosts and actors are all sponsored to death by companies, they never pay for anything themselves because being seen with this brand of jeans or this brand of watch or this computer = celebrity endorsement (aka it's worth millions in advertising).

It's no accident Justin Bieber wears adidas from head to toes, it's no accident Taylor Switch parades in a Prade dress at whatever award show, it's no accident all computers you see in whatever blockbuster are all Macs.

It's not always paid in terms of dollars and cents, it depends on the arrangement.

They did this sort of thing a lot in the 90's. Back then while Apple's marketshare was diminishing, you'd think everyone and their mother was using a Powerbook if you looked at the world through movies.

Of course they do. Why would someone give away truckloads of publicity away for free, especially when you know that you have people standing in line to pay for said publicity?

You can tell when products are just used as random props without an endorsement contract: the logos are all covered up.

Random Buzz from yesteryear...

Jeff Goldblum takes down Independence Day invaders with an Apple by uploading a virus to their mothership. Silly aliens, forgot to password protect their wireless router with WPA2.

I would love to read more about that modern family episode. How the idea came to the writers, how the cast reacted to being the first people outside apple to hold the iPad, the NDAs that they obviously had to sign, etc. Since the cast even included young kids.

"It's like God and Steve jobs got together and said "We love you Phil."" hehe
