It has been a slow start to 2026 for Apple product launches, with only a new AirTag and a special Apple Watch band released so far. We are still waiting for MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, the iPhone 17e, a lower-cost MacBook with an iPhone chip, long-rumored updates to the Apple TV and HomePod mini, and much more.

Apple is expected to release/update the following products in the first half of 2026:Both the Apple TV and the HomePod mini were rumored to be updated in 2025, but neither were, so hopefully they will finally arrive in the first half of 2026.

Here is what is rumored for those devices:
  • Apple TV: A17 Pro chip with support for the more personalized Siri, and Apple's N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 support. A built-in FaceTime camera has been rumored for a future Apple TV, but it is unclear if that will arrive with the next model.
  • HomePod mini: S9 chip or newer with support for the more personalized Siri, Apple's N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 support, improved sound quality, a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, and potentially a new red color option.
Some of the products listed above should be unveiled fairly soon. Apple reportedly plans to unveil the iPhone 17e next week, and MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips will reportedly follow as early as the first week of March.

Why would the Homepod need a newer chip to work with the new Siri? All it does is translating speech to text, the rest is done in the cloud. Woulb be really dump from Apple to exclude all current HomePods from further software updates.

If they add MagSafe to the 17e, I hope it gains some popularity. Assuming I still want an iPhone for my next phone, that might be the one for me. After years I think I’m over the heft of the ProMax models I’ve been using.

Honestly, I'm tired of the constant delays in news about the M5 Pro and M5 Max. I'm not buying it. I'd rather buy the M6 Pro and Max, even if it costs more. I hope we get some solid news about the Studio Display soon.

Looking forward to a new Apple TV - my most used Apple product.

I agree, though as it gets older I’m finding less and less reason to use it. Currently it’s only used for a workout app to pair a bike trainer to the TV, and as a home hub for my security. All of the built in apps to me are now pointless as the ATV4K unit does NOT transmit 7.1 audio through apps. I have to use my LG G3 built in apps and they work flawlessly.

Every other day there's another article posted about what to expect in the next X months. Honestly, it's getting a bit redundant to see almost an identical article with the same products "coming soon".
Honestly, there's not much else to talk about. Apple isn't very exciting right now, and so many things get delayed, like the personalized Siri.

That security camera has been squaked about since August of 2025. Do we really think this is ever going to happen? Along with the HomeHub, it feels like Apple has let HomeKit rot in a pile of hot garbage along with their dated Home app. What the heck is this company spending billions on in R&D? Time to fess up.
