Apple Express Airport along side with a Netgear WGR614

I would like to get a Apple Express Airport to extend the range of internet use throught my unit but will it work inconjunction with a Netgear WGR614.

Everyone I have asked does not know even my local apple store 🙁

i was under the impression it only extended the range of apple airport extreme networks.

... and "hacked" Linksys routers.

As far as I've read, you can set the Airport Express into "client" mode to be able to use AirTunes. It won't extend your network, but at least you'll be able to stream your tunes.
