I love that it took the removal of body-posture app to make them sit up and take notice.
The irony is amazing. If only Apple evenly applied the rules, this is another chapter in the book of “Apple only has itself to blame”I love that it took the removal of body-posture app to make them sit up and take notice.
Only because western nations have allowed them to be. But we are waking up to them. Hence why businesses are moving manufacturing away from that country. The CCP didn't need what Epic was doing, nor did they care. China can, more or less, do as they wish...they are one of the most powerful and influential countries in the world.
it’s one of those costly “too little, too late” lessons. Tim’s great strength transformed into a weakness. It will take decades for Apple to divest itself of manufacturing in China. Maybe longer.Only because western nations have allowed them to be. But we are waking up to them. Hence why businesses are moving manufacturing away from that country.
I mean, China hasn’t said anything yet. And China actually has a tech industry to protect (unlike the EU). They don’t want to pass any new restrictions on what companies can charge because that would hurt a huge section of their market. Water under the bridge, most likely.Watch Apple fall into line, none of this hemming and hawing and malicious compliance like with the EU. China says jump, Apple asks “how high sir?”
Agreed. Same thing as nations. My country Australia is a little too reliant on the money we make from China.Wa

China won’t follow the EU. China LIKES Apple’s marketshare right where it is, far below Chinese phones. And, China isn’t dependent on Apple/Google for their entire existence in tech. Without Apple and Google and other American companies, Europe HAS no tech.I mean why people like the idea that the Apple Store is the only allowed software distribution app on iOS? What’s wrong if china follows eu eventually? Not just eu or china, I hope we can have a couple of alternative stores in the us.
Now I’m REALLY curious about this whole “dishonest” thing. How, exactly, were they being dishonest about a posture app SO badly that a Chinese Apple employee in China felt they were going too far.WTF, a children's body posture app? Apple should kick it out of the App Store. They only got their identical app in because Apple App Store review methods lack competence not that they aren't uniform.
Are you talking about America or China?Well I for one appreciate thehypocrisyirony of a state who runs on the principle of policing and controlling all information suing Apple for policing their own app store as "unfair monopolistic behavior"
I guess this is why Biden said on a numerous occasions(5 times) that US will defend Taiwan against China in a 'hold my ice-cream' kind of fashion.China can, more or less, do as they wish...they are one of the most powerful and influential countries in the world.
Whatever the direction is, it probably will be clearer than the EU made it.I bet Apple won't play their "malicious compliance" game in China the way they did in the EU. Sadly, Apple has a lot more respect for the Chinese government and bends over backwards for them often
Eu.Are you talking about America or China?
Who, do you believe, provides the 5G equipment for those United-Statesian cellular networks you recently mentioned? 🤔Europe HAS no tech.
