Watch Apple fall into line, none of this hemming and hawing and malicious compliance like with the EU. China says jump, Apple asks “how high sir?”

I mean, China hasn’t said anything yet. And China actually has a tech industry to protect (unlike the EU). They don’t want to pass any new restrictions on what companies can charge because that would hurt a huge section of their market. Water under the bridge, most likely.

China won’t follow the EU. China LIKES Apple’s marketshare right where it is, far below Chinese phones. And, China isn’t dependent on Apple/Google for their entire existence in tech. Without Apple and Google and other American companies, Europe HAS no tech.

Now I’m REALLY curious about this whole “dishonest” thing. How, exactly, were they being dishonest about a posture app SO badly that a Chinese Apple employee in China felt they were going too far.

I'd imagine apple will settle this quietly outside of court for an undisclosed sum.

They're already on the back foot of their 2nd most important market, I can't see why apple would risk having this blow up for them for 400 grand.

Well I for one appreciate the hypocrisy irony of a state who runs on the principle of policing and controlling all information suing Apple for policing their own app store as "unfair monopolistic behavior"
