Cutting with a broad axe I see.

The question then becomes did they actually develop this technology or not. If they did Apple would loose. However here is the thing, the last I knew battery charging techniques and recommendation have been developed by the battery manufactures. If Apple just followed manufactures recommendations then I suspect enforcement will be difficult for this company.

As for patent trolls your definition is nonsense. A person or company can develop technology without using it themselves in a product. Happens all the time really, a guy comes up with an idea and then markets it to a manufacture capable of actually building and marketing the invention. At least one company markets more than a few tools designed by auto mechanics to simplify their job. So is an auto mechanic that develops a tool, patents it and then sells or licenses the patent a troll?

I really don't understand AI's hostility to patent holders. If the patent is valid then the owner should benefit from the patentor invention, that is the whole point of the patent system.

Eastern District is very corrupt. Two Judges there have sons who are Patent Attorneys. Numerous shell companies rent empty offices in Marshall, Texas and list them as their Headquarters .

These two Judges never deny a Patent Lawsuit, often brought by their sons.

Hell, the damn Judges probably own the buildings the shell companies rent office space in.

These lawsuits is ridiculous, no matter if it concerns apple, android or any brand. Just stupid.

Give the patent holder 5 year, then thats it. This is just sick how patent trolls can go on and on...

Right, patent system was established 100 years ago, which isn't improved much since. No wonder that patent system is not pro-innovation anymore.

100 years? The US patent system was established in 1787. The first patent was issued in 1790 (and signed by George Washington).

OK, censored, got it. Totally worth it, but sure, roger that.

Let me rephrase it, then:

[PRUDE] patent trolls.

In the [PRUDE].

With a power-saw.

Patent trolls cost the consumers of the world a lot of money. Maybe we need to change the patent laws so that only produced products, not ideas could be patented.

Did everyone forget Apple started the patent trolling? They set the precedent and now it's gone "viral".

The state of Texas must be so proud that its court system can bring in all that money from Patent Trolls.

Apple products have charged 80% quickly then 20% trickle since the first iPod. 80% in an hour 4 hours to full. So that's since at least 2001 which predates the patent application.

I know; by not infringing on patents

Keep off their intellectual property and you'll be fine

not every 20 something year old understands this like how is anyone supposed to know if there's a tiny tiny patent on something. I am sure the archive is endless. so every boy or girl needs to pay a lawyer before being able to do anything and even then it may fail

First ask yourself who owns the company and who are the shareholders.
You might be surprised, you will find many powerful people who need quick buck to pay for their elections and ranches.

And not very supposed octonogerian is a fountain of wisdom:)

So why on earth does Apple sue Samsung for infringement?
The problem with Apple fanboys is doublespeak; when such suits go Apple's way, you are hysterical and when they don't, you throw tantrums
so every boy or girl needs to pay a lawyer before being able to do anything and even then it may fail
Very silly. Whether your project/venture takes off or not, keep off my intellectual property because it's mine!
In any case should your venture take off, you keep all the profits to yourself

My old Sears car battery charger from the mid-1980s does the same thing. It charges quick in the beginning then trickles down towards the end. Hence the name a trickle charger.
