Think this through:
Those jobs went to countries where people are paid pennies a day and treated almost like slaves. They often work in unsafe environments for over 12 hours a day and don't get to have personal lives
That's how bad wages and work life would have to be to have kept those jobs in America. Why would we do that?
The better alternative would be to mandate that companies couldn't outsource that way, but the government was all in on globalization. And it's turned out bad
But Apple benefits from that worker abuse to this day. It's why Americans need unions and why I support Apple's employees unionizing. If Apple could, they'd treat their American employees just as horribly as they treat the the Chinese people I can't technically call employees because Apple contracts Foxconn to do their dirty work
