I don't see any problem with iJustine. She obviously presents a fan girl perspective and she doesn't deny it. She doesn't pretend to offer ultra-techinical critical reviews on anything, but she just gets excited over tech products -- not just Apple either, but pretty much everything.
Very much this. Hating iJustine for her style of tech reviews is like hating a broom for its style of mopping. She’s never claimed to be a tech reviewer, just someone who likes tech showing off cool stuff she likes on YouTube (which is basically the vibe of early YouTube — didn’t y’all say you missed that?). In a way it’s very telling that people hate her videos for “being excited about things”. Is it really too much for them, or are their lives so dull and boring that seeing someone have a positive reaction to things becomes irritating to them?

This wasn’t the studio tour I expected, but I suspect that apple didn’t allow that many shots.

This makes me think that it would be great if Apple TV+ had an exclusive "behind the scenes" show of apple events, products design, services, etc.

Knowing how apple cares about corporate secrecy, I don’t see that happening, but it would be very interesting

Really want to watch this and then I saw it was iJustine. /sigh. She has annoyed me for at least a decade, so I try not to watch her videos.

The foliage behind where the yoga studio is always made me wonder if it was real, actually outside, etc. :)

The one behind the scenes secret I've always wondered....do they film the videos in mirror image reverse? Because the instructors never seem to mess up saying right when they mean left or vice versa even though we are mirroring what they do. They would either have to always reverse what they say or just work out as normal but film in reverse.

If filmed in reverse then they must have specially made Nike gear so that the swoosh doesn't look backwards in the videos. I've noticed that many do seem to wear their Apple Watches on their "right" arms which is not what the majority of people do. They would have to learn their sign language salutations in reverse I suppose. Just always wondered about this....

I like Fitness+ a lot.

So this was a nice little video for me. iJustine is not everyone's cup of tea, I do understand this. Nevertheless it is a fun video to watch. And of couse it would be nice to see much more behind the scenes. But a slight little glimpse inside the studio was nice.

A rich spoilt woman-child Californian (whose 'work' is being an Apple shill) goes to visit over-excited fitness instructors advertising Nike.

Just about sums up TC's Apple.

(Also: why aren't they using Pro Display XDRs for their workflow? You know, those alleged Sony reference monitor killers they produce...)

I so wish fitness+ was better at actually helping you pick which workout to do. They’re all just listed as the instructor, music style and duration. How is that helpful? I don’t want to have to explore all the videos and get to know the instructors so I can pick what’s right for me. Keeps me from using this service even though I’d really like to.
Looks like I’m happily mistaken. It’s been a while since I’ve checked because of how things were, but they’ve since added descriptions under each video that tell you what to expect from it. This is a huge improvement and has me excited to start exploring the service more!

She's from Pittsburgh. I've done so many stupid things in my life, I need to learn how to put them to better use like her 300 page phone bill. ?

I was actually hoping for a tour. I've been trying to convince one of my clients to invest in a fitness studio to do workouts similar to these ... or at the very least has a set location for them instead of jumping around the state to different gyms .... and an actual tour might have convinced them.

This video is nice, but unsurprisingly vapid.

Besides being a cute girl in a nerd world. I really don't understand the appeal of iJustine. Her content is so weak, she is more of a cheerleader than a reviewer and the constant "look at me" faces are so annoying. Sorry girl.

She doesn't pretend to offer ultra-techinical critical reviews on anything, but she just gets excited over tech products -- not just Apple either, but pretty much everything. She's not a hypocrite. Not everyone's cup of tea, of course, but it is unfair to judge her by a standard meant for other types of content creators. And I don't think tech forum users should be high-minded or gatekeep.
I’m with you on this one. I watched the whole video, and while it didn’t give me what I wanted, it also seemed Apple is gatekeeping their studio and process. I found that she is shooting for a different audience. My daughter gets this way when she’s excited to tell people about horses and animals. There’s an audience for that and that’s ok. Tech enthusiasts need to realize that a pretty girl can be passionate about nerdy things too and have a different perspective. That’s ok. In fact, it’s probably a good thing long term to be more inclusive.

Not a great video. No tour of the studio. Would like to see Fitness+ expand to more regions.

I think the instructors learn to mirror the movements.. and multi-cam makes it easy to do another take if something gets messed up, mirroring or otherwise. Here’s an instructor talking about how she learned to mirror for her classes (around the 3 min mark)

I'm a simple man; I see iJustine, I tune out.

Can't stand her cheerleading over inanimate objects.
Indeed. She is highly annoying most times. Shame really as she has some fairly decent knowledge and her videos are actually well edited and are aesthetically pleasing, but then out come the over the top facial expressions and shouting…instant turn off
