If we're comparing GPU's on the 2019 Mac Pro, maybe...

But it sure cannot hold a candle to the latest generation nVidia 4090.

Yeah power draw cannot be compared, but for pure performance, the M2 Ultra GPU is far behind nVidia, especially if the games support raytracing.
I'm only comparing GPUs from the 2019 Mac Pro to the 2023 Mac Pro. I don't doubt NVIDIA's stuff, let alone newer AMD stuff, kicks the crap out of both. But neither can run on a Mac Pro running macOS (and one might as well buy a Windows or Linux based PC workstation that can actually accomodate those GPUs if that's the goalpost we're talking about here).

Why are people letting desktops sleep? They absolutely sip power at idle...disable sleep for your own sanity...computers have had issues waking from sleep for decades, it'll never be solved.

I installed the 13.5 update on my M2 Pro Mac mini last night, and left it running overnight. I was regularly getting the 'Disk Not Ejected Properly' message on my 2TB SanDisk Extreme external SSD connected via USB-C. No issues last night; the disk was still connected in the morning with no errors.

Fingers crossed - this issue might be resolved for non-Mac Pros.
I've been running a 1Tb SanDisk Extreme for 48hrs on 13.5 on an M1 - no issues - had given up previously

doesn't fix it for me… my OWC SoftRaid drive is still crashing and now with their stupid support plan, I get no more SoftRaid updates as of 5 days ago.
The next to last post in the discussions.apple.com thread, as I write this, asks "Please do post back if anyone can confirm their rig is working (or not!) with this new OS update. thanks all." Since the product manager for internal storage at OWC is tuned into that thread, maybe they can help.
