Remember when a bunch of people on here including myself received free cases from Apple just for calling in and inquiring about their order? Do you think Apple knew about the bending issue before shipping the phones so they started silently giving out free cases?

You really think that case is rigid enough to stop the phone from bending?

I doubt it. Apple may have known about the bending issues, but I think if they did they decided not to worry about it since otherwise they couldn't get it as thin as they want.

I'm just saying, wasn't it weird Apple was giving out free cases for no reason.

It was a piece of rubber that costs them about 86 cents to have manufactured. Not really a big give away to cover up an issue for a minor percentage of users.
