in terms of functionality and usage, it's more that the phone has been added to a PDA and killed standalone phones. Otherwise you might as well say that the phone and computer abilities have been added to a camera.

Actually, IMHO, even the Nokia 3310 I used to own can also be considered a computer. IIRC it has games I can play even on it's small screen. The argument whether a device is a computer or whether it is general purpose computer is silly. All devices are built and designed for a purpose/use case.
