Apple giving away bumper cases?

I can hold the iPhone just fine and don't find it slippery at all. I've also never dropped it. I'm not going to put something as ugly as a bumper when there is no point to it and affects the aesthetics of the phone.

I've gone nude a few times, but I live in poor reception areas, so get about 3 bars of 3G. I'll my 3G signal if I hold it in my left hand. Fine with a case on.

If I'm in an area with 5 bars 3G, then I sometimes pop it out the case.

i just called apple to check the status of my order cuz it still says Processing Items, and the guy on the phone told me to pick any case and they would give it to me fore free. he could tell that this was my first iphone so maybe that was part of it? i chose a speck candyshell.

No thanks. I wouldn't take a bumper even it was free. They're useless and tacky.

I think they are fairly stylish when new. But they age quickly, especially non-black bumpers. Worst of all, they leave marks on the antenna finish, which is a big no no in my opinion.

One reason not to use it. Like I said it's tacky and doesn't belong on a phone like the iPhone. It doesn't offer and real protection so what is the point.

yeah but if you always have the bumper on you never see it?? lol


I love love love my bumper..

I mean I don't like any big cases, the bumper is perfect. keeps it from sliding all over the place and falling off my lap. and it adds grip and is just awesome

only complaints are it blocking dock adapter and headphone jacks sometimes

he said he could tell it was my first iphone. and i told him it was my first smart phone of any kind. he said they wanted to make my experience as great as possible and so he offered me a case because he didn't see one in my order.
