This works for me. Usually broke after buying a new computer phone or whatever from Apple two months is kinda limited to find funds to then purchase AppleCare lol

Finally Apple has reverted BACK to the ya it was before just a few short years back.

Im vexed this cannot be retro fitted as my HomePod missed its original 2mth wait period and I know I would’ve purchased AppleCare+ within the year after purchase and even would’ve brought it in. Even if Apple took off a year I’d still be happy since retrospectively it would balance out.

on well I’m happy with this.

They have been phasing out regular Apple Care for a while now. Seems like they have figured that the potential losses they take from allowing a few users get Apple Care+ on devices they just dropped outweighs the gains they get from all the additional insurance revenue lost due to not being able to sell any form of Apple Care past the 60 days Care+ period.

Does this mean I can buy it now for my 11 Pro or do I have to wait for next years phone?

They should bundle in Apple News, Apple Arcade, Apple Music, etc.

2 years is 1-year free coverage plus 1-year extension. So you are actually only paying for 1 additional year.

you dont get any when you buy it. you get 1 year limited. when you buy apple care you do not get an extension...its 2 years of upgraded service from date of purchase. accidental coverage....those do not come with 1 year limited.

stop spreading misinformation.

Cool, now I just have to purchase this the day before I need it (yeah I have a crystal ball). I only keep my phones for a year so really the only thing I care about is the accidental coverage.

Is this because they can’t shift it? It’s an outright scam in the EU as you get a 2 year warranty as standard and in the UK, you can get up to 6 years under the consumer rights act in the UK.

Know your rights to avoid flushing your money away.....

If the EU and UK warranties extend to accidental damage, then they truly are obviating the need to purchase AC+.

Like my local Apple Store will reopen before my year is up. And if they do, I don't think I want to risk their cramped Mall storefront.

When does the two years of coverage start? From device purchase date or coverage purchase date? Hoping the latter.

Purchase date. Extended warranty is always extended from the provided 12 months.

You are paying for 1 extra year to what you get without it.

Wasn’t it a year to purchase AC many years ago? I remember it being that way for years before they went to the 60 day limit.
