The camera was what turned everyone off from Google, what makes this any different?

Apple Glass does not have a camera! That is what is different!

The real danger of Apple Glasses is that android glasses will become mainstream. I know Android glasses is not a real thing now, but it will be if Apple Glasses gets real.

The mock up picture gives the impression that Apple glasses will be close to looking like a normal pair of glasses. I hope this is not the case because it would create a huge safety issue with drivers who will no doubt wear the glasses while driving and thus get distracted by what suddenly appears in fromt of them, text notices, email notices, phone call notices, stuff like that. There will obviosuly be people who will say that sort of thing wont happen but if people can think they do not have to take any notice of the road or traffic when in driverless cars (numerous accidents and deaths have occured by people falling alseep, playing games or watching movies) then people will do the same with the glasses, leave them on thinking it will be ok to drive with them on.

Newer cars already have heads up displays... and that's ignoring all the dash mounted phones i see on the road which are putting those "distracting" notifications directly in your field of view.

Ultimately, you get "right rail blindness" in the same way web banner ads are all but invisible now after such exposure.
