8800 is more update than 8600😎

The 8700M is far more power hungry and hotter than the 8600M. Plus, Apple generally wait a long long time before any upgrade to the GPU, especially in a laptop. The x1600 in the previous gen macbook pro's are ancient.

So chances, no.

this sounds more like a summer upadte than a january update. jan will likely be a speed bump.
