Should have been a 4" iphone 6. 5S should have been discontinued.

New design of the 6 is poor aswell.

For me a 4" flagship is a missed oppertunity.

I have a different perspective than the OP. To me, the 4.7" is what the iPhone 5 should have been. I didn't care for the form factor that simply elongated the 4/4S. That's one of the main reasons I never upgraded from my 4S.

The size of the 6, not to mention other factors, may move me finally to upgrade.

That's an absolutely cool story... But I doubt Tim Cook is losing any sleep over what will be another record breaking iPhone launch with upwards of 10 million or more sold on
Launch weekend... I'm pretty sure he doesn't care about 4" screens or that you don't like the iPhone 6 design (which btw I do like it a lot).

I'm not being a jerk or anything... I just don't see how anyone at Apple will say they got it wrong this time with another record breaking launch...

Also I really don't understand the "I don't like the iPhone 6 design" stuff...

I wish Apple would simply have three different sizes each year to give all customers their ideal size:
4
4.7
5.5

Hell even if they simply put the A8 and focus pixels in the 5s I'd be a happy camper.

This I completely agree with. The fact that Apple went from 3.5" to 4" was almost pathetic. Everyone else had 4.3",4.5", 4.7" and apple decided to .5" bigger. Straight up BTW... Not wider just longer...

Had the iPhone 6 been the iphone 5 who knows where we'd be right now... Instead Apple went with a minimal increase...

A lot of people absolutely loved the design of the 5 and the 5s... I'll be honest it took me quite a while to like it... As a matter of fact I didn't realize I liked it even a little until January of this year...

This is a sad lonely story.

Tens of millions disagree.

Good luck with your 4".

I think now would probably be appropriate.

As long as we have approval...

The 5 would have been a good phone had they made the phone wider with the taller screen I hated Landscape mode. They got it right with the 6 and 6+ finally caught up with the competition and surpassed them.

A 4" flagship would be decided by the people — and clearly nobody wanted 4" phones anymore. It's far too small and nobody was going to stick to Apple unless they made the larger sizes. If Apple didn't make the size bigger, they would be in trouble financially.

Apple releasing a 4in phone again would have made me go back to android and get a Note 4. Kudos to Cook for realizing that change can be good and choice is even better. I have an iPhone 6+ and I love it. Camera is awesome, battery life is on point, and the screen is absolutely stunning. Hell I can actually enjoy stuff like Netflix on my phone.
