I had an issue like this, and emailing Tim Cook helped. They have a special team that calls and reaches out to you if you do this, it helps with more specialized issues

I don’t think that’s how that works, I’m pretty sure that the stock intended for in-store purchases and the stock purchased online and picked up later are completely different.
Although, yes, it is likely that the stock intended for in-store pick up is very limited.
Stock levels in the uk aren’t that great in the month of release, you’ll be very lucky to walk into an Apple Store and pick one up.
 
You can walk in on launch day and pick one up for most models. The days of lines are gone, most people have them delivered to their homes.
Depending on the store.

Y’all going to Apple Store locations that are really popular like fifth avenue and regent street will expect very long traffic and lines. The stock will sell out fast launch day so most people do it on the Apple Store app or  website where y’all do preorders and do in store pick up to secure your spot.

The OP’s Apple Store he regularly buys his Apple products from is not a real busy one so he can walk in, still have to be in line if it’s on launch day and get the iPhone. If you wait a few days after launch day you can get it without waiting in line.
 
As one other member said, they have a special division to handle issues in this area. Special needs are what all HR departments in a company have. Contact the shop (if you haven't already) if you have contact and demand to talk to someone does has the jurisdiction to help you appropriately.

John Lewis usually have iPhones on launch day. I take that route most of the time now as I have also had payment declined going through Apple. Unlike the OP however, I know why this is. If you order multiple items directly from Apple and then pay for them by card the first part of the process goes through fine. However, if they decide to process and despatch the items separately they debit the various payments separately and my bank certainly didn't like that - they block the payments. (Other banks may differ!)
The result has been many phone calls to work this through and now I simply use John Lewis who can have anything in stock ready to collect at my local Waitrose store in a little over 12 hours.

Edit: And usually the price is less than from Apple!
 
OP: My heart goes out, this must be very frustrating. I have a family member whose had similar mental health issues in the past. He would have someone else order things for him and have them shipped to their address. (This was years ago, he went no-contact about 13 years ago.)

Maybe give that a try if you have friends or family living near by?

As a side note, bud.

Our OP Tommy he does not live with immediate family near his side since his nan passed a year or two ago.

A month or two before my nan passed.

But if he knows any friends nearby they can pick up orders on his behalf with their different Apple accounts.

Many people also did this on Amazon or eBay stuff if these could only be dispatched to other countries and their friend hands it to them.
 
Oh! Thank you. I’m not a native English speaker and I thought straps were those rubber/fabric strips that used to keep our grandfathers trousers in place.
I'm a fluent English speaker (but I wouldn't consider myself "native"), and even I didn't understand what "straps" meant. All I could think of were straps used to bind things together :)
 
There was a misunderstanding, and now they cancel my orders.

I’m not too bothered, as I can walk into an Apple Store, and buy what I want.

My only concern being the launch of the new iPhone.

How long, after launch, are new iPhones (Pro Max) usually available in Apple Stores, as a walk in?

Personally I’d say ‘screw u apple’ & not buy another product from them ever. Any company / person trying to do me over won’t get any £ / interest from me

This is definitely very strange. I have never heard of a retail chain blacklisting a customer for something like this. I do remember many years ago there was a high profile case of Apple declining on-line orders from someone here in the US. But that had to do with the person ordering Apple devices, doing a review for his Youtube channel, and then sending the device back for a refund. Apparently the guy had done this for more than a year and had racked up more than a dozen returns.

Apple got wind of what the guy was doing and they declined his future online orders and also prevented him from purchasing from their retail brick and mortar outlets as well. Not sure if the guy ever got back into the good graces of Apple, but that is the only case I can remember from when a person was banned outright from purchasing anything from Apple.

I would try and buy something from an Apple retail store if you haven't already and see if that works. If you have been indeed banned or blacklisted from Apple, you will also be prevented from purchasing in their retail stores also. If you can successfully buy from Apple retail, than you are not banned and there is something else going on here.

That’s why I told a bit of the backstory.

Tommy the OP and I go to Apple Store a lot like every 2-3 weeks and we never got kicked out.
 
Basically, I have mental health issues, and I had a psychotic episode.

I was hallucinating, and was very unwell.

I was unboxing new straps, when police and paramedics arrived at my place.

There were boxes all over the floor, and I was completely disoriented.

I was forced out of my place, by the police, because the paramedics said I didn’t have capacity to stay safe.

I was taken to hospital.

When I eventually got back home, there was opened packaging, but no straps.

I called Apple to complain, but was told that packages are weighed, and the straps were sent.

I was completely confused.

Anyway, about a week later I was cleaning my place, and what did I find under my sofa? The two straps.

I phoned Apple to tell them what had happened, and they assured me that there is no block on my account. But there clearly is, and I believe the block has come from higher up in the chain.
Ooof good luck man, I can understand

What are straps in this context, I don't get it ?
