At one point in time it was worth it staying in the Apple locked down egosystem. The technology far surpassed what other's were doing. Those times have long gone.. They are simply not an innovative company any more. Tricking those in to thinking, it's the latest, it's the best..

I watched just a summary of the nonsense yesterday, this clown on stage was talking about the new Watch. "I know you guys are worried about the battery life, but we are pleased to say, it hasn't changed.." What kind of spin is that?

Needless to say I switched to Android 2 years ago, and haven't looked back. Sure Android's messaging system needs some love, but everything else is a better experience. It's not locked down, it's not controlled. I don't live with a bag of dongles and I am free..

Well, i'm not only moving on, I've moved on. You should as well.

People will keep buying iPhones as to Apple fans they are a better phone experience

Let people buy what they enjoy

First 7nm chip? Anyone? I've yet to see an Android manufacturer producing a faster, more reliable phone than the iPhone. But hey, to each their own. Not every aspect is as important to everyone.

Yet the people I know who use android are just as happy with their phones as the ones who use iPhones.

I’m giving in to the sunk costs fallacy a little, but I’ve put too much money into Apple — phone, tablet, laptop, desktop, tv, apps — to switch unless something just implodes in the ecosystem. But using android wouldn’t be the end of the world, if it came to that.

I understand the feeling of disappointment this year, I have it too. I feel like next year something huge will happen with iOS 13 and the new iPhones.

Android is not for me whatsoever but I wouldn't say that. Many of the people using Androids say they'd never use an iPhone. Different strokes for different folks.

Apparently you haven't moved on if you feel the need to rant on here. Apple is a TRILLION dollar company, they must be doing something right.

There’s something to be said for an individual who actually takes the time to make a pro-android / anti-Apple thread in an Apple centric forum. You typically see the quintessential ‘thumbing of the nose’ and displays of seemingly insecurity in adolescents. It’s as if the person is seeking affirmation of some sort.
Enjoy your android experience. Feel grateful for finding what you like. Perhaps sharing it over at android central would be a more appropriate platform? I’ve tried the S9 and the Note 8. For me, the experience sucked. I just didn’t go make a thread about it in an android forum ‍♂️

??? Its the same as it always is, the "S" version is a minor bump and then the next version will see major improvements. And really...WHO still has a bag of "dongles" people made fun of the notch and what happened, phones are just now adding the notch to utilize the technology that Apple placed in the confined space. The watch is the #1 watch and smartwatch in the world so I think they are doing fine....

    The difference is very simple:
When a Windows/Android manufacturer does something retarded (like a USB C only pro machine without SD or a $1500 phone), people vote with their wallets and buy alternatives.
When Apple does something retarded, people quietly whine and buy it anyway.

I've been on a Galaxy s9 for a while, love every feature of it. OLED screen, USB C, headphone jack, dual sim (yup, we had it for years on Android), grouped messages (coming up in iOS 12), torrents, proper file system, etc

Although there is some really nice Android hardware out there of course you know that platform has its pros and cons as well. I'm not going to list them, because literally thousands of people have done that but you can't definitively say Android is better for everyone. Obviously, the fact that Apple is doing so well contradicts that.

Every year people complain it's not enough of an upgrade. Every year. But they buy the phones anyone, apple sets sales records and it repeats the following year.
There's really only so much you can do to a phone every single year. Faster CPU and a little bit better camera year after year is about what you can expect. With some miscellaneous updates here and there.
At least they support Bluetooth 5.0 and tmobiles new 600mhz band 71 with gigabit LTE radios. Nice but to be expected.

If you truly moved on you wouldn’t be on an apple forum stating that you moved on. You wouldn’t be here complaining about the new iPhones or iPhone events. Especially not 2 years after you supposedly moved on. You’re just trying to reassure yourself that Android is the best choice.

Don’t have an Apple product but surrendered to the world’s biggest ad company.

I don’t buy from certain companies either but you know what? I’m not trolling these companies’ user forums either.

    Yes they are,
taking our money hence a Trillion Dollar company. Apple will always do well with die hard users but prices have got way out of hand. All it will do is put off people who were thinking of moving to IOS.
