I got one and ordered another. I like it as slim and light as possible so I prefer switching between two 5k rather than having one 10k. Also allows me to charge one while using the other.

I don't want to use Anker for its replacement. Suppose Apple can't make a decent battery pack. If you like using this company's stuff well. But there is no reason to buy one for me... But I am done wasting money and time with ANKER.

My Apple Mag safe battery pack is done wonderfully for me. No need to buy it.

I picked mine up from the Apple Store today. I like it so far and love how thin it is. It seems to charge much faster than my current Anker MagSafe battery pack too.

I picked up the Apple Store 5k model as well as the new slim 10k qi2.

They both seem very well made and look reasonably subtle (some banks have a ton of text and symbols on the back).

The 5k comes with a braided usb c cable which is nice. 10k comes with a standard cable.

The finish on the 5k seems pretty slippery, on both sides. Not sure if that’s what they were going for to easily get in and out of pockets. But it’s for sure a drop hazard.

Both are very thin for the listed capacities.

My only ding on the 5k model is the MagSafe strength seems a little off. Specifically, the vertical magnet below the ring does not seem very strong. Imo the pack is too easy to push off from one of the sides if you are near the bottom. I tried the pack with multiple cases with the same result. The 10k pack has more of a rubberized attachment point, so I’m not sure if that’s the biggest difference, but the magnets do seem to hold on better with the 10k slim.

Wonder if either I got a subpar example or if the constraints of such a small form factor limited the magnets they could use.

I have found the MagSafe magnet strength to be very strong for the new Apple 5K model. I haven't had any instances of it coming off by accident.

If I had to choose one, I would go 10k slim. It still fits in the front pocket on the phone, extra capacity, doesn’t cost much more on sale, more versatile. The only reason to go 5k is if you want the absolute slimmest total package.

I’ll probably keep both but there is a lot of overlap between the two. A larger capacity with a built in cable, watch attachment, or something else would probably be a better second option.

Interesting, I will try with another case or two. The actual ring of magnets is quite strong, but the pack wants to spin from the bottom edges.

Let me know how you like it!! 🥰
I’ve been using the Anker power bank for a while now and I love it except that it takes a while to charge when I use the MagSafe option vs a cable. I use the cable when I’m in a pinch. It’s so lightweight and I love the pink color. It hasn’t let me down yet.

I love it too! I’m at Disney every weekend this month ( I usually go every other weekend) and it performs well!

I haven’t went anywhere yet to test it out. Just work and dropping the kids off at their after school activities, but it’s served its purpose for that.
It’s wonderful. I also upgraded my cables to the Anker ones and they are phenomenal as well!

I have a ton of Anker cables. That’s all I’m using at the moment.
They’re amazing quality!!

I got the aquamarine silicone case and the bands. I had to buy the anker mag go to go with it 😂

Maybe there will be a new beats branded battery pack, as they have released now some charging cables under the beats brand.
