Oh I get this all the time. I don't know if anyone can psychoanalyse this. But I used to be part of the biggest forum for this specialist PC game making application. It's a very popular board. Everyone with this app goes there. When I joined years ago when my game designing talents were a little less, I always though those above me where so arrogant and just plain stupid. But I never said it out loud. Then I got much better at my games, people said I was arguably the best developer on the board. But in the forums... hah. Oh the forums. I started constantly fighting the idiots. Never out of nothing. But I would say something like... "oh and I'm making the soundtrack and graphics on my Mac", party to show off what a fantastic creative platform it is, and partly to start up a fight. The forums are so out of control, name calling is common place and that.
Why would I do that? I drop a bomb and flee. Come back when its settled and start again.
but meh.
The responses I used to get! I posted a few here at times.
One time, an admin was having PC problems. He posted on the frontpage that there won't be a big update for a while whilst he sorts his PC out, adding "it's times like these I wish I had a Mac". He's cool, one of the more mature guys there. but the comments to that... oh man they were funny.
"Macs? Macs suck!"
"Macs are for Jay" (as I'm known as the Apple obsessive

)
"Macs are teh crap" etc...
Basically they're not even grasping at myths anymore.
Meh. They're all idiots. I have no problem with anyone who has used another system and complains about it. But if they haven't used a mac and complain to high heavens about it. Then I just stand back and giggle. Thats all I do now.
On the other hand if a guy uses a Mac and says that windows sucks. Then its fine, so long as he has legitimate reasons. but always vice versa.
