Hi,

Shocked, Apple have removed the elevated heart rate notifications on the original watch! All ok on iOS 11.0.3 and watchOS 4, but with 11.1 and 4.1, no Heart App or heart warning notifications. Way to go Apple, promote a feature as a potential life saver, then remove it. You really care about your customers!

It's in the release notes that they've removed it. It was supposed to be a s3 only feature but someone at apple messed up.

It’s never been on the series 0 ... this has been this way since day 1 with watchOS 4 (a new feature for the OS)

No problem. It was released in error by the looks of it, but it worked so I think it’s bad for them to take it away!

Yea curious if it was unreliable and if it didn’t work 100 percent of the time they thought it was best to just pull it.

Maybe the HR thing was what was eating so much battery for me with wOS 4.0... *shrug* My O.G. Watch lost like 20-30% battery level at the end of the day compared to wOS 3.x. If I used workout app, sometimes I'd be down to critical battery level by bedtime, something which never happened before.

wOS 4.1 seems a little bit better, maybe. Anecdotally. *shrug*

I had heart rate recovery on my s0 I sent it in to a used electronics buyer when I got my s3 before Watch os 4.1 came out I had the irascible heart rate warnings and recovery rates on it. I’m looking at my workouts on the activity app for the dates before I got my S3 to confirm I wasn’t imagining things but heart rate recovery was there. I sold the watch. Score 4.1 came out if this is the case I’m disappointed at apple for removing a working feature

I have sent feedback to Apple. I suggest everyone who is unhappy with this features removal, does the same.

Ever since Watch OS 4 my S0 battery life has been terrible. I didn't know they removed the Elevated Heart Rate thing. I remember turning that on and setting the HR it should alert at. Just last night I wondered if that was what was causing my terrible battery life but the setting was no longer there.

I usually take my watch off the charger around 7:30 am. Before I would go to bed around 10:30 - 11:00 and I would still be around 20%. Now I get the low power warning before 8:30PM

I'm hoping 4.2 might improve it, whenever it finally comes out.

I’m refusing to update beyond 4.0 in hope they will bring it back. Have complained but doubt anyone will even look at the message.

The fact that it was working means the S0 can handle it. Same for Resting HR. Why is that not on the Series 0? That is just a calculation. It has been disabled for the sake of disabling it so you purchase a new Apple Watch.
