Has anyone heard of apple releasing a new set of headphones?

Surprisingly, the Apple In-Ear Headphones (The $80 ones) are not bad. Solid performance.

I have a pair and they are okay, not extraordinary, the big problem is that they don't get a good fit in my ear to isolate the sound. I've moved on to the Etymotic earphones and they work really nicely.
